| Parish
Council |
|
|
The
Second Vatican Council called for the establishment of
Councils on the parochial level to bring together the clergy
and the laity to live the Christian life more fully and to
accomplish Christ’s mission in this world more effectively.
In response to this call, St. Louis Parish established
its Pastoral Council.
The
Council, consisting of 15 selected members, works with the
Pastor and parish staff in an advisory capacity on matters of
Parish policy, goals, and programs.
The Council also annually approves the Parish budget.
Parish
Representatives are selected for terms of three
years on a rotating basis.
Either individuals or a married couple may serve as a
Parish Representative if the persons have been registered
members of the parish for at least one year and are at least
17 years old.

Monday of every month, September through June.

the Catholic way of life. We guide them through the process of
the Church towards full initiation. The catechumens and
candidates, with support, care, and prayer, grow in knowledge
of the teachings of the Church, explore the meaning of the
Scriptures for daily life, develop friendships with members of
the parish community, pray and worship in the Catholics
tradition, and discover the joy of serving others.

Education Teachers |
