at play. It offers support and a sense of connectedness with those in a
similar role of raising young children.

Parish Council
The Second Vatican Council called for the establishment of Councils on the parochial level to bring together the clergy and the laity to live the Christian life more fully and to accomplish Christ’s mission in this world more effectively.  In response to this call, St. Louis Parish established its Pastoral Council.

The Council, consisting of 15 selected members, works with the Pastor and parish staff in an advisory capacity on matters of Parish policy, goals, and programs.  The Council also annually approves the Parish budget.

Parish Representatives are selected for terms of three  years on a rotating basis.  Either individuals or a married couple may serve as a Parish Representative if the persons have been registered members of the parish for at least one year and are at least 17 years old.

First Monday of every month, September through June.

Open to all

Peter's Men's Spirituality Group
To study Scripture by concentrating on the readings for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy. We attempt to apply the Scripture readings into use for our everyday lives.

 Weekly -- Monday - 6:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M.

Open to men of the parish.

Pre Cana
Helps prepare couples for their marriage. Team couples may give talks, lead table discussions, and essentially just share their Christian marriage experience with those to be married. Participation varies according to a couple's comfort level and talent. The reward is that the team couples find a renewal of their own marriage covenant, as they experience the grace and Spirit of the day.

Open to all couples with strong Christian Marriages.

R.C.I.A. Team
Represents the parish community as we introduce persons to the Catholic way of life. We guide them through the process of the Church towards full initiation. The catechumens and candidates, with support, care, and prayer, grow in knowledge of the teachings of the Church, explore the meaning of the Scriptures for daily life, develop friendships with members of the parish community, pray and worship in the Catholics tradition, and discover the joy of serving others.

  Confirmed members of the parish

Religious Education Teachers
Religious Education Teachers teach children, preschool through fifth grade, about the Catholic Church. They spend time with the children in prayer, song, and instruction. Through their example and teaching, the teachers pass to the children the most important aspects of being a Christian, a follower of Jesus, in our world today.

September - June -- weekly classes.

A Confirmed, practicing Catholic.

Ushers
Ushers assist in the welcoming and orderly seating of parishioners at our Parish Liturgies.  They minister to anyone who may have any special needs or concerns, including anyone who may have an emergency at mass.

We are looking for anyone who enjoys people and are enthusiastic about helping others.

Commitment on a rotation basis at weekend and Holyday liturgies.
