Noting the length of time that has passed since the beginning of the pandemic and the disruptions it has caused in many areas of parochial life, it is very important that our records remain up to date for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assigned to our parish.
As the Diocese of Rochester joins other arch/dioceses in the three-year Eucharistic Revival, we need to be mindful of the Diocese of Rochester’s Policies for the Administration of the Sacraments.
Each parish is required to provide a list of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, suitability of candidates and training received to serve in the parish. A review will determine the standings of each Extraordinary Minister to appoint/reappoint Extraordinary Minsters of Holy Communion for the renewable three-year term.
This requirement is due to the Office of the Chancellor prior to December 31, 2021.
In order to continue your ministry as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist, please take immediate action to the following before December 27, 2021:
Read the Diocese of Rochester Policies for the Administration of the Sacraments
Complete the BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION and PROFESSION OF FAITH FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION forms
Complete the CASE training - Please let us know if you need assistance to complete this training. We can accommodate with a scheduled time in our Ministry Center.
Submit signed forms and CASE training certificate to Laurie Martin as soon as possible.
Your attention to this matter is pertinent to continue your ministry. As always, thank you and God bless you for your ministry.
