Habitat Interfaith Partnership is a coalition of churches and a civic group which include: First Presbyterian Church, St. Louis Catholic Church, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Pittsford United Church, Christ Clarion, The Islamic Center, Temple Sinai, and the Pittsford Rotary Club. Together we try to raise $65,000 every three years to build a home.

The Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Partnership is helping give families in our community the benefits of home ownership.

The Habitat Interfaith Partnership, or HIP, started in 2001. “It started with the First Presbyterian Church and Saint Louis Catholic Church sitting down together and deciding that they would like to do to something special with Habitat,” she said. “We decided to do it interfaith. At first, we had all Christian churches. Then we said, we’d like to expand it. We invited the Islamic Center and one of the Jewish temples. From there we have expanded. It’s just a wonderful, wonderful thing that we all do together – Christians, Muslims and Jews side by side. We really have a great time building together.”
